Maggie's Kisses

Every morning we eat breakfast together.  Today we had whole wheat pancakes with applesauce.  Maggie still prefers to eat applesauce with her fingers so it gets everywhere.  But the best part of our morning rituals is goodbye kisses.  It doesn't even phase Sara, she'll lay the kisses on even with breakfast still on Maggie's lips.  It is like watching a romantic action scene with Bruce Willis covered in blood, dirt and mud, kissing after the climax... I don't get it.   But I love it when Sara kisses her... now that is true love!

Whole Wheat Pancakes

4 Servings Prep/Total Time: 10 min.

Mix in blender:
1 cup milk
1 cup wheat berries

(add enough berries to make it like a thick batter) then add:
3 T sugar
1 tsp salt
3 T oil
2 eggs
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder

  1. Gotta love the "juicy" kisses!!

I'm going to have to try this pancake recipe. I usually make waffles because my pancakes turn out too thick or the stove is too hot or something. But these look great. And Raymond always loves it when I blend things :)

  3. Yummy. I want that breakfast. I think I need to be a better breakfast Mom. I just found this same recipe in the book Sara gave me (I am assuming that is where you guys got it) and was thinking it sounded so good. Definitely need to try it. And I just adore Sara. She really is so great. A good Mom to kiss that girl all covered in Appleasauce. I don't know that I could do it with my own.
