The cat's out of the bag ...

I'm pregnant!

I'm due February 27th! I'm about 12 weeks and have been VERY sick the last six weeks and still don't feel good. I'm really hoping that I'll start to feel better now that I'm heading into my second trimester.

I'm so excited to also be pregnant along with my sister, Tasha, who is due just a month ahead of me. She's finally going to be an aunt. And we get to walk along this pregnancy together!

I've had both an ultrasound and sonogram now and been able to see the little baby and hear the heart beat...so this baby is official. Stanford and I are SO excited!!!

  1. AHHH!!! Congrats! I am so excited for you and Stanford to start your cute family. It's so fun to be pregnant with your sister and then have cousins close in age. Very cool. I can't wait to hear that you are feeling better. I'm sure it will wear off in the next couple weeks. Funny how much things change in a matter of a month during pregnancy. Anyway, I'm very happy and I hope that things continue to go well. Love ya!

  2. I had my suspicions due to a few things that were stated in your blog.
I am SOOOOOO happy and excited for you. What an incredible Mom you are going to be Sara. I wish we were closer so that our babies could play and be in Nursery together.
And being pregnant with your Sister is just the best. I was lucky enough to be pregnant with Char with my first. It was so nice to go through it with someone else who already knew all there was to know.
I am so sorry that you are so sick. I have been there with all 3 pregnancy's. Its simply put... the worst. And waking up and going to bed feeling terrible all day long is just the pits. I hope that you are going to feel better soon. Typically the second trimester is amazing!!! You'll get a high from feeling good and yet you're still comfortable and are starting to look cute and pregnant. I just love weeks 15 till about 30.
Keep lots of updates on your blog. And I cant wait till you start showing. I cant express how totally excited I am for you both. The first pregnancy is so exciting and so thrilling.
    I love you

And I really really love being pregnant together. We are seriously only 1 month and 1 day apart. So fun! I just can't wait until we both know what we're having. :) Really, I love being pregnant with you. I told Brian you and I will have to see each other sometime in November/December to get a fun big pregnant looking sisters picture. :)

  12. OH MY GOODNESS! OH MY GOODNESS! So super excited for you my friend! Hooray!

Sad about the sicky. It will start to get better now though. The second trimester is awesome!
The only thing that worked for me was eating AT LEAST every two hours. Just something like nuts, a piece of fruit, granola...but it had to be VERY often.

Have you thought about prenatal yoga??? :)

  22. Congratulations - that is so exciting! I'm sorry that you are so sick - that's a bummer. It should get better soon. It's worse when you have to go to work and you feel so bad. My sister in-law Bethany was sick through her whole pregnancy, and she taught Kindergaten at the time. She said it took everything she had NOT to barf all over her students! I hope you don't barf on any of your kids either, but if you do, just think how funny that story will be to tell in the future?!! :)
