Birthday cakes are not meant to be healthy... after all they come once a year but I had to make a special trip to the grocery to get butter for this one. Maggie has been eying this cake on the cover of a magazine for months because of its pink layers and we finally found an excuse to make it, Mom's Birthday.
While shopping for Mom's birthday with the kids, Maggie found this yellow purse. I reviewed with her the usual we-are-keeping-this-a-surprise but before Mom could even walk through door Maggie was describing the Yellow Purse we got for her birthday. So I made sure the wrapping paper didn't give it away.
What a BEAUTIFUL cake and a fun celebration! Wiah I could have been there. The wrap job on the purse was fabulous and fun!! See you in a week! (mom)
ReplyDeleteHoly Heaven that cake looked DIVINE!! I think I need it for my birthday. Or maybe we need to make it for Lucy's baby blessing. Those pink layers are pretty fabulous Maggie. I can see why you were eying it. Happy Happy Birthday wonderful Sara. Even if I did fail this year at getting your present to you the week of your birthday. I am sorry you are getting me on my off year. I seem to fail at almost every thing lately. I love you more then you will ever know though! Truly I just love any moment of Sara time I can ever get.
