A Walk in the Park
I have been slowly working on my Father's Memorial for a couple of years now. I finally finished the design and order the stone and in a few months hopefully it will be installed. The whole process has made me more aware of the little memorials surrounding me, this is one of my favorites and it has become one of my favorite parks too.

ReplyDeleteThey have recently put up a new little memorial "park" or grove of newly planted saplings right along the path Raymond and I walk (when we walk...). Each tree is numbered and then there is a sign with a picture and little bio about the person being remembered by that tree. My favorite tree has had a bench put underneath it. I imagine some loved one is looking forward to the day when he or she can sit in the shade of that tree.
I cannot wait to see your Father's finished memorial. It is interesting when we put ourselves into something we start noticing it out there more.
