I'm tired ...

  • I'm tired of feeling sick all the time.
  • I'm tired of having a headache for days on end.
  • I'm tired of that headache turning into a migraine and leaving me so sick I can't keep anything down (the present situation)....even after I've taken zofran....the miracle nausea drug.
  • I'm tired of throwing up.
  • I'm tired of not being able to cook dinner for my husband or myself.
  • I'm tired of my new system of doing laundry: put a load in the washer, change it to the dryer and then get my clothes out of the dryer only when I need them, instead of just folding the load when they are done. Then I finally start another load days later.
  • I'm tired of having no energy.
  • I'm tired of being on my feet all day at work and coming home and spending my evening on the sofa.
  • I'm tired of my messy house. I just can't stay on top of it like I want to.
  • I'm tired of being grouchy all the time (and I know my husband is tired of it too!!)
  • And now I'm tired of complaining.

To combat my complaining episode, here are a few things I'm grateful for:

  • I'm grateful Stanford will rub my shoulders and neck anytime I ask and has never once complained about it.
  • I'm grateful Stanford cooks for me and will clean up the kitchen and take care of me.
  • I'm grateful for my daily emails with my sister Tasha. She provides the love, support, and strength I need on a daily basis while at work and I love her to no end.
  • In fact, I'm grateful for my whole family for their phone calls and check ups to see how I'm doing.
  • I'm grateful to be pregnant and to be 18 weeks along with a little belly to show for it.
  • I'm grateful that next week I will have my ultrasound to find out if I'm having a boy or a girl!
  • And I'm grateful that Stanford should be home any minute to spend this evening with me before he heads off to Utah tomorrow for four days to be with his mom and sister!!!

  1. Good for you. You went ahead and went all positive too.
I feel you babe. I only hope that you are feeling so much better soon. I start feeling wonderful about 21 or 22 weeks. That middle part is fabulous... I hope it comes for you soon.
And I cant wait to hear what you're having. My guess is a girl.

  6. Oh, you poor thing. I'm sorry you are so sick all the time. Headaches and migranes are the pits, and then when you throw nausea in the mix...that is just misery! That is great that Stanford is so loving and helpful to you - what a good hubby.

What can I do to help? Please let me help?! I would be happy to clean, do laundry, cook, rub your shoulders, listen, etc. Seriously, I am NOT just saying this. I would love to help lighten your load. My number is 556-4781...I will be waiting for your call! :)

  7. So sorry you are having such a tough pregnancy. Hopefully it will get better as you get further along.

Good for you doing your positives too so you don't get depressed. :) Yay that Stanford is taking such good care of you and that you have a cute belly started. I can't wait to see a couple pregnant pics and hear what you're having! Feel better! :)

  8. That's how I do laundry all the time. Even when I am not sick. I'm serious. So don't feel too bad. ;)

Call me if you need me...you know where I live. ;)

  9. I love you Sara!! Way to put all those positives in there. Maybe I need to do a post like that so I will end thinking positive instead of just staying in my tired negative side much too much! I really really really hope you are not this sick the entire time. But, if you are I am here for you the whole way through. I love you!! Thanks for being my sanity through the day too! SERIOUSLY!

  10. Oh, Sara, you poor thing. I'm so sorry you aren't feeling better yet. I'm super impressed, though, that you listed the things you are grateful for. And don't feel too bad...I hate folding laudry so mine frequently sits in the "clean laundry basket" or the dryer for days and I don't have a good excuse like you do. I hope you feel better soon. Can't wait to hear the results of your ultrasound! =)

  11. You can do it honey! I'm so proud of you because I know how you feel. I went for almost four months falling asleep at 5:30 pm EVERY night. Brad would have to cook, clean, AND do laundry which I felt bad about (plus, I wanted it done my way!) He would shove dinner down my throat just in time for me to fall asleep. I'm thinking about you all the time and CAN'T WAIT to find out pink or blue! Hooray!
