Since my candidate for president is not going to win... most polls these days only seem to alienate me... so I thought I would run my own poll... nothing to do with politics. Okay, we got our 42" of a mammoth TV and now we need to find place to put into. I put together a little model of our home... just to give you a brief tour.
So here is our dilemma... the fireplace competes with the TV and the nook that holds the TV is too small... proportionally it was a bit of challenge but we decided we could build a concrete hearth to possibly balance the space... here are our options...
Here is option D in perspective... but don't let it sway you from the other options...
anywho... please give me your opinion... or ideas!!!
Option A, that way you can still all the shelves!
ReplyDeletecan you hang it on the wall above the fireplace? i love that look!
ReplyDeleteWell, I would have to say that your option D at the end does sway . . . but I was orginally going to say not B or D because I don't like the fireplace covered. But, now I see the delima of covering the shelves too. Hmmm . .. it is too bad you could not hang it above the fire place because I am a fan of that too. But, I guess I like A or C, but I don't know the D from the different perspective did not look so bad. So definatly not B . . . I don't think I am helping any. Shocker! But, honestly I cannot wait to get to come out and see it all in person!!!
ReplyDeleteTash-you crack me up!!! Thanks for all your input you guys. I'm hoping to get actual pictures of our new place up SOON. That, and pictures from the funeral. Stanford once again outdid himself.
ReplyDeleteFrom Brian.
ReplyDeleteI think you should put the TV on the Wall perpendicular to the bookshelf/fireplace. Having a TV and a fireplace and book shelves all on the same wall would look too clustered and may leave other walls looking bare.
I CAN'T WAIT to see the pictures condo and funeral! - Tasha
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to watch Bourne on your new Tv! - Brian
Off to get yummy tacos on Taco Tuesday!!
I love my sisters and brothers-in-law! You are all a crack up! I think I voiced my opinions while there, but for the record: I like the TV on the wall opposite the fireplace (Brian, perpedicular wouldn't work because of the window there). Put the couch where the chair is, under the window, and the chair over by teh shelves.
ReplyDeleteOR: put the tv above the fireplace. I really really don't think it would be too high. Swivle it out so it isn't flat on the wall, however.
ps. I LOVE your new place!! Thanks for letting us crash (literally the second night--thanks for putting a blanket on me) twice this weekend!
PS. I feel like I owe Standford another official appology from this weekend. I was so aweful to him! Please please forgive me about the chapel... (but aren't you glad you got nap??). I think I was an emotional wreck and took some of it out on you unintentionally. Will you forgive me? Will you ever play a game with me again??
ReplyDeleteDefinitely A. I like it more symmetrical. It looks cluttered to me in the other postions. Sad to cover the fireplace up though. But, I haven't seen your place in person so I am not the best judge.
ReplyDeleteps. Seriously love your blog! Where did you ever find such a cute background! ;)
pps. I looked at your Christmas photos. You guys all look totally cute in your glasses! I like glasses. When I was younger I actually wished I could have poor eyesight so that I could wear glasses. ;)
