After anticipating the arrival of these Thanksgiving day pictures, they are finally here. Michelle, Jonathon, and Paula outdid themselves. Todd, Stanford and I were able to enjoy the fruits of their labors. And well, I did bake my mother's pecan pumpkin pie. The day was full of good food, good company, and good games.

IKEA
To our disbelief we recently discovered one big box which did not exist in our little world... this feverishly distressed us... until at last we found our sweaty palms driving us toward the boarder... oh, the joy we found there... six hours later we finally arrived... and joyfully carted our cardboard wrapped gift home to unwrap and assemble.

Finally...
A new post. Here's a recap on what's been going on with the S & S clan. Last weekend Stanford and I drove out to California for a quick trip (less than 72 hours). My friend Liz from high school was getting married and we decided we couldn't miss it! It was great fun and I loved seeing everyone. Then Sunday night - back in LV - an old co-worker, Debi Fingerhut, was in town and came over for dinner. It was fabulous. I loved seeing her and catching up with all the news from working at Miller's. This week was back to work, work, work for the both of us and we're finally here to the weekend!!! Yea for that. Stanford and I have had such a nice, relaxing day. We slept in, went running, ran errans, brought lunch and presents to Stanford's cousin who just had a baby boy, and then napped in the afternoon. It's been wonderful. We've also been getting ready for our trip to Salt Lake City this upcoming week to spend Thanksgiving with Stanford's family. I can't believe it's almost here...:)

Blog Town
Once upon a town... far far away, nearly three hours away from any family or friends. There lived a family in town that had almost anything you could imagine. REI. We have it. Big Five. We have it. Dick's. We have it. Sport Chalet. We have that too. And other less important stores like Costco, where we got our pumpkin pie we are now eating. And TJ Max and Normstrom Rack and Target and Home Depot and every big box store under the sun. Okay, this town had everything you could imagine. And this is where the happiest fairytale you have ever read starts.
It is not just a place of merchandising, but a place where all rumors started and where all stories originate. It is where dreams are both created and crushed in a single day. It also happens to a place where one happy couple lives, who has extremely bright hopes for their future. And when all the lights go out, they like to look up into the big blue sky... where not a single star shines and think of what dreams they will start... what kind of star they put up there, because after all this is the beginning of their story.
